"I'm Not Against Chinese People, Just Against DAP" – Really?

Dr Akmal Saleh, the Umno Youth chief, says he's not anti-Chinese. He just doesn't like DAP, the political party. He says there's a big difference.

In a podcast interview by Khairy Jamaludin, Akmal tried to explain that when he fights with DAP, it's only about their ideas and policies – not about race. To prove his point, he said "My in-laws are Chinese," like that settles everything.

Wait, What Did He Just Say?

But then things got confusing. When the host asked if DAP is still racist toward Malays, Akmal quickly said: "Of course! It has racist DNA. It exists."

Let's think about this: He says it's not about race, it's about politics. But then he says DAP has "racist DNA" that might take 10 to 20 years to fix. But remember, it's totally not about race!

Does that make sense to you?

"I Only Defend, I Never Attack"

Akmal also said he never starts fights – he only defends his community. Here are some things he "defended":

- A flag that was hung upside down

- Socks that had the word "Allah" on them

- Chinese school certificates

- A neighbourhood development plan

The thing is, if you don't like what a political party does, you just say the party's name, right?

For example, if you don't like PAS's ideas, you say "PAS is wrong" – not "Malays are wrong."

So why does Akmal keep saying "Chinese this" and "Chinese that" instead of just saying "DAP"? If it's really only about politics, why bring up race at all?

We Don't Need Populist Politicians

Malaysia already has too many politicians like this. They create drama to get attention and make themselves look important. They make noise about small things to get their names in the news.

Some converts especially love using these tactics to build fake careers. They act "more holy than thou" and pick fights over nothing to prove themselves.

We're tired of this childish behaviour. We're fed up with leaders who create unnecessary tension and division just to stay relevant.

Malaysian people are smarter than this. We can see through these cheap tricks.

What We Don't Hear From Him...

You know what's interesting? When there's a big corruption scandal involving important people in his own party, Akmal suddenly becomes very quiet. He doesn't "defend" anything then. Funny boh?

What Malaysia Really Needs

Malaysia doesn't need leaders who say "I'm not racist" but then do things that divide people by race.

We don't need politicians who organize street protests over socks and flags (which were obviously accidents) while ignoring real problems like corruption.

We don't need populists who make big noise about small things while staying silent about big problems.

We need leaders who can disagree about ideas without making everything about race. Who can criticize other politicians without making people angry at each other. Who understand that saying "I have Chinese relatives" doesn't automatically make you right.

The Truth is in Actions, Not Words

Akmal says he can work with DAP politicians "if sensitive issues are handled carefully." Maybe he should follow his own advice la!

When you say you only oppose a party's politics but you keep bringing up race, you're not fooling anyone. Your actions tell the real story.

Malaysian people – Malay, Chinese, Indian, and everyone else – are tired of this immature politics. We're done with leaders who divide us for their own benefit.

We can all see through this act. Actions speak louder than words, and right now, Akmal's actions are telling a very different story from what he's saying.

We deserve better leaders than this. Leaders who unite us, not divide us. Leaders who solve real problems, not create fake ones.

It's time for these populist politicians to grow up – or step aside.
