Dear Anwar: No Matter How Much You Give, Walaun Will Never Be Grateful
They would rather see Muhyiddin return (so his son-in-law can finally come home), or Sanusi—who has Chinese ancestry on his grandfather’s side—pretend to be the purest Malay of all, or even Tun M keep coming in and out of IJN, or Hadi Awang lead the country from a wheelchair.
Anwar,
The walaun will never appreciate you—no matter what you do, they will still curse you.
This year, the Federal Government’s allocation to Kedah has risen to RM9.7 billion, up from RM7.1 billion in 2021.
Every single year, you have increased the yearly allocations to Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu far more than you have given to your own Pakatan Harapan states—Penang, Negeri Sembilan, and Melaka—even though the PH states contribute the most to national revenue, taxes, and GDP.
And what do you get in return? They call you “Maha Zalim”.
The Kedah Rubber City is a federal project under the Ministry of Economy.
Yet when they launched it, they put up big Chinese signboards bragging that they brought in RM2.6 billion in investment.
It was the Federal Government that secured the investment—they never once thanked you or even mentioned it, but claimed it as their own project.
During Muhyiddin’s time, the annual cash handouts were around RM5 billion.
You raised it first to RM10 billion, then RM12 billion, and now the latest is RM15 billion. Yet they still complain, “Kita masih miskin, tak cukup!”
You work tirelessly, travelling the world to bring in investments, and still they accuse you of doing nothing.
To them, Hadi Awang sitting in a wheelchair is doing more for the country than you running around everywhere.
You increased civil servants’ salaries—costing an extra RM10 billion a year—yet there are still Little Napoleons inside the system sabotaging you.
Otherwise, how did the letters from Kamil Munin and Shamsul Iskandar get leaked in the first place?
You allocated RM2.6 billion for Islamic education—sekolah agama, tahfiz, pondok—yet they accuse you of being anti-Islam and a Jewish agent.
To them, PAS PASTI that don’t pay teachers’ salaries on time represent the true defence of Islam.
During PN’s time, there were 22 special lottery draws a year. You reduced it to only 8, yet they claim they are more Islamic than you.
It was under DAP’s Anthony Loke as Transport Minister that MAS stewardesses were finally allowed to wear the tudung—something that never happened in the 33 months PN was in power. Yet they say you are the one who “tunduk kepada DAP”.
In your time, you built Masjid Madani all over the country. In their time, they sakau Jana Wibawa. And still they say they care more about Bumiputera than you.
You have never taken a single sen of salary as Prime Minister, yet they mock you and praise Dr Sam who increased his own salary to become the highest-paid Chief Minister in Malaysia.
You gazetted Malay reserve land, and they scolded you saying “tak cukup Melayu”. Yet they praise the Terengganu MB who sold land worth RM29 million to a PAS-friendly NGO for only RM550,000.
You gave RM200 million to Palestine, flew in their wounded children, gave 66 Palestinian students places in international schools, and pledged to help rebuild Gaza. To them it’s still not enough. Some of them even felt prouder when the Israeli flag was raised in Kelantan.
Anwar, you have given the walaun everything—yet not a single “thank you”. They still shout “Turun Anwar”, pray for your downfall, and slander you by saying you have HIV.
To them, you’re not a real Malay or Muslim unless you do plastic surgery on the nose of the Tugu Negara statue. But even if you built an undersea tunnel LRT in Langkawi or promoted “flood tourism” in Kelantan, you still wouldn’t be good enough.
You took from your own loyal supporters and gave everything to the walaun. What did you get in return?
You want to promote a true, moderate Islamic philosophy through the Madani concept, yet they insult it by twisting the word into “Madani-non”.
You increased Bumiputera and Islamic funding by 100–300 % in almost every area, yet you never recognised UEC, never created special yearly allocations for non-Malays, and funding for vernacular schools and non-Muslim houses of worship is far lower than before.
The ones who get nothing stay quiet. The ones who get everything still hurl all kinds of accusations. That, my friend, is the walaun.
Anwar, you have given a lot to the B40 walaun. But your M40—the new urban poor—are struggling.
They work hard every day, yet you introduce all kinds of new taxes and cut subsidies, making life even harder for them. The walaun never thank you, while your own supporters are suffering.
Anwar, you must realise: no matter how hard you try, the walaun will always hate you, curse you, slander you, and do everything to bring you down. It has been three years of this.
When are you going to wake up? In another two years, the walaun will kick you out of power.
You can build them entire cities, keep increasing handouts, raise their bonuses and salaries, keep funding tahfiz schools that will only produce future PAS voters—and they will still call you “pengkhianat Melayu dan Islam”.
You can keep organising “Perjumpaan Ulama Bersama Anwar” again and again, but to the walaun, only PAS ulama are the real ulama.
'
They conveniently forget: it is under your administration—with DAP holding the largest number of seats—that all these increases are happening.
When they were in power for 33 months without DAP:
→ Islamic education funding: only ~RM 700 million a year
→ Bumiputera education: RM 2 billion
→ Cash handouts: RM 5–7 billion
→ No civil-servant salary increase
→ EPF conventional dividends always higher than syariah
Under you and DAP (inside the government):
→ Islamic education: RM 2.6 billion
→ Bumiputera education: RM 6 billion
→ Cash handouts: RM 15 billion
→ Civil-servant salary increase worth RM 10 billion a year
→ EPF syariah dividends now equal or higher
All of this happened not when DAP was outside the government, but when DAP is inside the government—yet every single day they still slander DAP as anti-Islam and Zionist, and blame you for working with them.
Anwar, when will you finally see the truth?
